One of a series of watercolors depicting native costumes by Fiala, brother-in-law of the famous Russian/American artistDavid Burliuk (1882-1967). The painted image on heavy stock is 16½" tall; The back UR has two circular seals indicating provenance and gallery in Prague. This unframed watercolor (#1991.186) was recently deaccessioned by the St. Petersburg Musem of Art in Florida along with other works by Fiala.
