Bing and Grondahl: Dairymaid (#2017). This vintage B&G figurine of a young milkmaid, who is smiling at her attentive cat as she milks the family cow, was designed by Axel Locher, whose name is written on the ground behind the back legs of the cow. Overall condition is excellent, except there is a small hairline on the underside of the base that is barely visible from the top (see blue arrow). The B&G mark on its underside indicates it was made between 1958 and 1962. Height: ~7¼". SOLD. (#HT059) |

Bing and Grondahl: Fish market figurine (#2233). This vintage B&G figurine was designed by Axel Locher, whose name is written behind the seated woman. The variety of fish is amazing on this piece and makes it quite interesting. The B&G marks on the base indicate that this figurine was made between1958 and 1962. Condition is excellent. Bing and Grondahl: Fisher family (#2025). An impressive and large vintage B&G figurine of a fisherman and his family, which was designed by Axel Locher, whose name is written on the base. The B&G marks on its underside indicates it was made between 1958 and 1962 and the colors are nicely muted, typical of the older hand-painted figurines. Condition is excellent, except for a very minor hairline on the base that is barely visible (see arrow on first picture). Height: 12 ¼"; width: 7¼". $350. (#HT058) |

Bing and Grondahl: Puffin figurine (#2384). This B&G figurine of a cute puffin with a brightly colored bill, was designed by Svend Jespersen. It is well marked on its base, in addition has the impressed initials (SJ) of its designer. The mark on the underside of the pieces indicates it was made between 1970-1983. Interestingly, there are two figurine numbers on the underside (2384 and 2386); the latter is incorrect and was crossed off. Condition is excellent. Height: 6¼". $225. (#HT050) |
