Caldwell Caldwell Art nouveau vase. Attractive art glass vase with a classic shape and art nouveau feather design in blue and yellow. This slightly iridescent vase is signed on its base "B Caldwell" and is approx. 5½" in height. Circa 1970s. SOLD. (#J047)
Correia Early Correia irridescent art glass vase. Stunning art glass vase from the very early years of Correia Glass . This iridescent vase, done in shades of blue, is decorated with an art nouveau pulled feather design. It still has its paper label, which is from the early years of this well-respected CA art glass studio. Signed: "Correia", with some hard to read letters (VLH1) and numbers (2.79.12); I think the latter indicates this was made in 1979. Condition is excellent. Height: ~10". $395. (#J164)
Cristalleries de St. Louis Cristalleries de St. Louis art glass vase. Bohemian style translucent ruby overlay vase with oval cuts to the perimeter in an attractive pattern. A beautiful old and heavy crystal vase by Cristalleries de St. Louis, that comes with its original silver paper label (Saint-Louis Cristal de France) and is also acid etched on its base (Cristal St Louis France). Height is ~7¼", diameter at top is 5¼" and the wall of the vase is ~¾" in thickness. Condition is excellent. $295. (#J007)
Cristallieries de St. Louis Cristalleries de St. Louis art glass vase. Attractive translucent turquuoise blue overlay vase with triangular cuts to the perimeter and other shaped facets from the waist down. An unusual piece of heavy, old St Louis glass. Still has a clear "Cristal Saint Louis" label and is also acid etched on its base (Cristal St Louis France). Height is ~7" and the diameter at top is 4¾". Minor chip near base. $275. (#J008)
Ipsen Kent Ipsen art glass vase.Early art glass vase by Kent Ipsen, a well-known American glass artist who is currently the Director of the Glass Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. This heavy cased vase has a very organic look to it and is done in rich shades of green, yellow and deep red; it has a rather marbled appearance, is ~6" in height, and is signed "Ipsen 1976" on its base. Lalique Lalique nude. Attractive small art glass sculpture of a nude woman gazing towards a swan. Signed in script on base: "Lalique France" and still has its old paper label. Height is ~4½". SOLD. (#J121)
Lundberg Studios Lundberg Studios in Davenport, California was started by the late James Lundberg in the early 1970s. Maytum Studios Maytum Studios perfume. Interesting art glass perfume bottle made of cobalt blue glass that is somewhat translucent and has an intricate design in iridescent blues and greens, shades of red, and also white. Artist signed ("Rudin?"), "Maytum Studios", and dated "1987". $85. (#ZL052)
Moretti Roberto Moretti female nude glass sculpture. Fantastic piece of Italian/American art glass depicting a female nude by world-recognized glass artist Roberto Moretti. Roberto and Alessandro Moretti were two brothers from the famous and highly respected Moretti family in Murano, Italy, who brought their glass artistry to the US. Roberto lived in West Virgina for many years and worked at Pilgrim Glass; he died in 1986. For a detailed history of the Moretti family and Moretti Glass, see their website. Unknown Jellyfish artglass sculpture (Maker unknown [Czech?]). A large and heavy, bright orange and green glass jellyfish is encased in thick clear glass. The delicate dome of the jellyfish is a pale yellow/green with bright orange trim and fine clear tendrils descend from within the dome. As can be see in the pictures, the appearance of this piece differs depending on light conditions. Height: 8¾"; Diameter: ~4¾". SOLD. (#ZL807)
Verlys Verlys art glass centerpiece bowl. American Verlys frosted and clear glass bowl, made between 1935-1951 and signed in etched script on the underside of the piece. This molded art glass bowl is decorated with butterflies and flowers and the design is typical of Lalique-style glass of the time. Diameter: 13 ¾"; Height: 2 ¾" . SOLD. (#Z257)
WMF Ikora WMF "Ikora" vase. 10" (H); 7" (diameter at top). Large art glass vase with white veins, wide brown vertical bands, a translucent green ground and polished base. The "Ikora" artglass line was designed by Karl Weidmann and made by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) in Germany from 1922-1936. These pieces are hard to find, hard to describe and even harder to photograph! $325. (#M124)
